Chelsea striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is ‘still on the radar’ at Paris Saint Germain as he looks to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.

That’s according to Media Foot, who say the French giants ‘keep tabs’ on Aubameyang as they eye up potential additions to their forward line.

They are on the hunt for an offensive reinforcement as Pablo Sarabia is on his way to Wolves. That exit means PSG are able to recruit, despite finances being tight.

The club, via Luis Campos, have been exploring several options since the start of the winter, ticking off several names on his list, including Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli.

That has led them to Aubameyang, who is out of favour under Graham Potter and looks likely to be the victim of the club’s spending on forwards in recent months, something which has made him a ‘subject for departure’.

PSG ‘could benefit’ from that, securing his signature at a lower cost to bolster their forward options with a player who is ‘experienced, versatile and has a history of playing in the French league’. In other words, he is a player who ‘ticks a lot of boxes’ for them.

Aubameyang is also a ‘long-standing prospect’ at the club, hence his name still being on their list.

Indeed, we covered a report in October that stated talks had already taken place between Aubameyang and PSG about a potential move to the French club despite him only joining Chelsea in the summer.

It seems that interest remains and Sarabia’s departure has opened the door, although a move seems unlikely this month given Aubameyang wouldn’t be available until next season.

That’s because he’s already played for Barcelona and Chelsea this year so cannot play for a third club; a rule which PSG are surely aware of and have some sort of plan for.
