Back in March, we covered claims from the Turkish press explaining that Arsenal and Manchester City had followed Semih Kılıçsoy’s live in action for Beşiktaş.
Later that month, Akşam stated Manchester City had gathered positive reports about the 18-year-old. It was also reported that they have plans to get ahead of Arsenal and other English clubs in the transfer chase.
Kılıçsoy’s agent Murat Teber has been a guest on Radyospor this week, where he revealed that Arsenal and Manchester City are among the clubs to have shown interest in his client, and his comments are relayed by Sporx.
The representative explained no club has yet made an offer for the Turkey international.
“I know that clubs such as Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Arsenal, PSG, Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart are watching Semih. We received information about this. But it has not reached the offer stage. At least, there is no offer that has reached us,” he said.
The forward finished the recently concluded season with 12 goals and three assists from 35 games.
Kılıçsoy’s performances for the Black Eagles helped him make his debut for Turkey earlier this week, and his agent remains hopeful that he could make it to the final squad for the Euros.
The attacker’s deal lasts until 2028, and his representative insists a decision on his future will be made after the Euros.
“Semih is a different player at his young age. Therefore, Semih is followed in the five biggest leagues of Europe,” Teber explained.
“Of course, Beşiktaş’s situation is also important here. There are multiple factors. Currently, Semih is only concentrating on the national team. We will look at the situation after the Euros.”
