Diego Rico signed for Bournemouth last summer from Leganes and went to make 12 Premier League appearances over the season.

He’s not been used much as he’d have hoped, but the move hasn’t been a disaster for the 26 year old. There’s every chance he could be more involved during the next campaign, that’s if he remains with the club.

Claims come from Spain on Wednesday of La Liga interest. Real Sociedad are said to be keen on the left back, although there’s worry about how much Bournemouth would ask for a transfer.

Mundo Deportivo report as many as eight La Liga teams have contacted the player’s agent to talk about a transfer, and it’s explained the ‘starting price would be high’.

When Bournemouth signed the player from Leganes the fee was undisclosed, but Mundo claim it was €15m.

They don’t think the Cherries would sell for less than €10m. Rico himself is said to want a return to Spanish football.
