Newcastle United star Moussa Sissoko has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer after his impressive performances at the Euros.
The Magpies have reportedly set an asking price of €40m on the Frenchman, and Benitez recently urged the interested clubs to make an offer soon.
Sissoko has also issued a ‘come-and-get-me’ plea several times in recent interviews, and that probably means Newcastle haven’t really got too many offers for him despite reports claiming otherwise.
Several media outlets in Spain believe Real Madrid are very much interested in signing Sissoko, but Marca have reiterated that there is absolutely no interest in the Frenchman.
Marca say their sources claim Real Madrid have not even considered the Newcastle star, and they seem to be quite confident about it.
Sissoko has been linked to several top European clubs, but time seems to be running out for him to complete a dream move.
The Frenchman may well have to get his mind settled and help Newcastle get back to the Premier League, a task which looks all the more daunting after the loss to Huddersfield.
