Real Madrid are getting part of the amount paid by Chelsea to Fiorentina for the signing of Marcos Alonso.

As the left-back played for the Spanish side from the age of 12 to 19 years old, Madrid have a right of 60% from the 5% of the fee which goes to clubs who developed a player, under the solidarity scheme.

According to Defensa Central, it will mean €810k, since Chelsea paid Fiorentina €25m.

Something the website doesn’t mention is that Alonso spent the rest of his youth years at Bolton, so the English side should receive a part of it as well.

Alonso left Real Madrid’s youth levels to join Bolton in 2010. In 2013, he was sent on a free transfer to Fiorentina, where hewas until his late window transfer to Chelsea.

He also had a short loan spell at Sunderland in 2014, but since going back to Italy, the player has seen his reputation rise.

He was officially announced by Chelsea last Wednesday and is ready to debut for the club.
