Paolo Hurtado will not stay at Reading for the next season. According to reports from Portugal, the player is expected to play for Vitória Guimarães in 2016/17.
The Peruvian winger signed for Reading last summer, but as he couldn’t impress in his first months, he was sent to Vitória Guimarães on loan in January.
A Bola says that this loan will be now renewed for one more year, but this time the Portuguese side will have an option to buy him at the end of the season.
The newspaper says that Hurtado’s choice to return to Portugal was because he wasn’t having chances at Reading and the club wasn’t counting on him anymore.
As both parties seem to want him out, it’s very likely that the player will leave permanently next summer. His contract with the Royals expires in 2019.
