Bournemouth have taken a major step in their pursuit of Rayan, with reports in Brazil stating the Premier League club have already reached an agreement with the player on personal terms.
According to Globo Esporte, the decision on whether the transfer goes ahead now rests with Vasco. The report explains that Bournemouth and Rayan have agreed on a five-year contract.
The English club are prepared to offer around £30m (€35m) for the 19-year-old forward. If Vasco accept those terms, the deal would become the most expensive sale in the club’s history.
Negotiations are ongoing between Bournemouth and Vasco, with the player’s side already giving the green light. Bournemouth’s proposal follows previous interest from Zenit, whose €31m bid was rejected earlier in the window after Vasco demanded €50m. Borussia Dortmund have also been mentioned as an interested party.
Vasco feel protected by the €80m release clause included in Rayan’s recent contract renewal. That clause allows the club to listen only to offers that make sense both financially and from a sporting perspective.
Internally, there is no longer concern about a club arriving with a surprise lump-sum payment that forces an immediate exit.
Future profit makes it easier for Vasco to accept Rayan exit

Another factor shaping talks is the percentage of Rayan’s economic rights Vasco would retain in a future sale. That figure varies depending on the final value of the deal, rather than being fixed. Both sides were said to be satisfied with the renewal agreed in early December.
Rayan has also benefited from a significant salary increase, placing him among the highest earners in Vasco’s squad. The contract includes performance-related bonuses, such as incentives linked to a potential call-up to the Brazilian national team, with Carlo Ancelotti monitoring his progress.
For Bournemouth, the move now looks concrete. With the player on board, attention turns fully to Vasco’s stance and whether the clubs can bridge the remaining gap on valuation.
