With some silly rumours suggesting Manchester United’s Rasmus Højlund may be on the move this summer, it appears it’s actually his brother who could be on the verge of a big transfer.
That’s at least according to Kicker, who report that VfB Stuttgart are eyeing up Emil Højlund, the Manchester United man’s younger brother.
The newspaper explains that it would be easy to get confused when it comes to the Højlund family given there is Rasmus, 21, Emil, 19, and Oscar, 19, all playing football at this moment in time.
The latter two both play for FC Copenhagen, while their bigger brother is at Manchester United, but Emil could now be set for his own big move.
Kicker explain that Stuttgart have been looking at the 19-year-old, although not as a potential replacement for Serhou Guirassy or Deniz Undav.
They’re simply impressed by his qualities, with may likening him to his brother at Manchester United and believing he has the same qualities.
He’s also made it clear he would like a move to a bigger league and that’s alerted Stuttgart, who are always on the lookout for top talents to develop and he would fit the bill.
Currently he’s a name on a list of options but the idea is there, and it seems at least one Højlund could be on the move this summer after all.
