On Wednesday, Secolo XIX reported a Rangers offer for Genoa midfielder Emil Bohinen, with Danny Röhl looking to improve his options.

The Norwegian was loaned out to Venezia but the Serie B side are about to terminate the stay. In the meantime, Bohinen has changed agents and they have put an offer from Rangers on the table.

Dutch clubs have also made approaches, with a permanent exit seen as a likely solution in January. Some encouragement for Rangers has now arrived from La Nazione – relayed by TuttoVeneziaSport.

Bohinen is keen on leaving Italy and wants to play abroad, which would fit with a move to Ibrox. His intentions are motivated by the Rangers approach, subsequently expressing his preference to those around him.

Spezia are also interested in the 26-year-old, who will soon return to Genoa. The Serie B side will part ways with Salvatore Esposito and Bohinen is seen as a replacement, having acquired a lot of experience in the Italian second division.

Despite this, Rangers can currently be considered favourites for the midfielder. The fact that the player has changed agents hints at a transfer.
