PSV Eindhoven have ‘taken measures’ to ensure Rangers team bus is not confronted or attacked tomorrow evening.
That’s according to journalist Rik Elfrink, who says the Dutch side are keen to avoid a repeat of last year’s incident that saw the Rangers bus confronted by PSV fans ahead of their Champions League qualifying clash.
Michael Beale’s side take on PSV for the second leg of their third-round qualifying clash in the Netherlands tomorrow after a 2-2 draw between the sides at Ibrox last week.
It should prove to be another fascinating clash between the two sides, with PSV slight favourites thanks to them being the home side.
They’ll be keen to ensure Rangers are as uncomfortable as possible, but it appears that does not include using their fans.
According to Elfrink, PSV have ‘taken measures’ to ensure that the Rangers bus can be received normally as they believe the ‘hectic and unflattering reception’ last year ‘worked as doping’ for Rangers.
This is something former manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst even stated after the game and they’re keen to ensure that his replacement, Michael Beale, and his team cannot receive a similar advantage.
