Rangers midfielder John Lundstram’s contract at Ibrox expires at the end of this season, and a few clubs are trying to take him away from Philippe Clement’s side in the summer.
On March 27th, Gunebakis stated Trabzonspor are one of them, and are working hard to convince the 30-year-old to leave Rangers as a free agent.
Milliyet now suggests Lundstram could continue with Philippe Clement’s side beyond this season.
It’s said the Turkish club’s interest in signing him has ‘prompted Rangers to take action’. The former’s aim is to carry out the majority of their transfer business before the start of next season, and they’ve identified the Englishman as one of their targets.
Lundstram has been a regular under Philippe Clement at Ibrox this season. He scored two goals and registered six assists from 45 games in all competitions.
His performances for Rangers have convinced Trabzonspor, and the report states they have intensified their interest. This has seen Philippe Clement’s side act to renew the player’s contract.
Milliyet state Rangers are ‘pushing all the conditions’ to extend Lundstram’s deal and have already made a first offer, to which he ‘didn’t respond positively’.
This may please Trabzonspor, in their efforts to try and convince Lundstram to leave Ibrox.
