Rangers manager Philippe Clement could be without Borna Barišić next season as the left-back’s current deal at Ibrox will expire in the summer.
The 31-year-old’s long-term future seems to be away from Philippe Clement’s side if the latest reports coming out of Turkey are to be believed.
Sports Digitale took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state Trabzonspor are showing interest in the Rangers player.
It’s claimed the Süper Lig side have ‘started negotiations’ to sign the defender on a free transfer, and add that his agent ‘will arrive’ in Turkey in the ‘coming days’ to hold further talks with Trabzonspor.
Sports Digitale’s report is backed up by Sabah, who also provide an additional update on this case.
It’s explained that Barišić will leave Philippe Clement’s side in the summer and a move to Trabzonspor could be on the cards.
The Croatia international was on the Turkish club’s radar in the past and is back on their agenda again. According to Sabah, the Rangers fullback is ‘very close’ to Trabzonspor, and there could be progress after they meet his agent in the next few days.
Barišić has managed a goal and an assist from 29 games for Rangers this season.
