Rangers are looking to improve Danny Röhl’s attacking options in the winter market. They have identified VfL Wolfsburg’s Andreas Skov Olsen as a target and want to bring him to Ibrox.

The Denmark international joined the Bundesliga side from Club Brugge in January 2025. He hasn’t enjoyed a good time since moving to Germany. To put it in context, the winger has scored one goal in 361 minutes from eight league matches this season.

This hasn’t put off Röhl’s side as they’re trying to bring him to Ibrox. Two days ago, we covered claims from Germany that Rangers have initiated contact to sign him.

Later that day, Bild reported Rangers are willing to offer an escape route to Wolfsburg’s ‘complete flop’. The German newspaper also stated negotiations between the two clubs were ongoing.

Bold in Denmark now provide the latest on the Scottish club’s pursuit of the 26-year-old.

They claim Rangers have ‘fallen in love’ with the attacker and are keen on securing his services in January.

Röhl’s side are looking to sign the Dane on a loan deal. According to the report, Wolfsburg want a loan fee and are currently negotiating this with Rangers. Bold add discussions are also underway about a possible purchase option and the price.

Rangers arrival has just been agreed

Rangers have made concrete progress in their efforts to secure Skov Olsen’s services. That’s according to a fresh report from Tipsbladet, which brings Wednesday morning updates.

They report the Ibrox club have agreed to the terms requested by Wolfsburg and are offering a loan fee to sign the Danish attacker. This has allowed the two clubs to reach an agreement for his transfer. Rangers have also secured a purchase option with Wolfsburg.

Skov Olsen is scheduled to travel on Wednesday to undergo medical tests and sign his contract with Rangers.

The attacker will surely be filled with motivation to show his detractors they’re wrong.
