With the transfer registration window closing on Tuesday evening, there’s a small amount of time for Rangers and other clubs to get late signings over the line.
There was a bit of a lull over the weekend, which is often the case, but Rangers have started Monday morning with a transfer bang.
Sacha Tavolieri reports Michael Beale’s side have agreed a deal to sign Nicolas Raskin from Standard Liege.
The Glasgow club are set to pay as much as €2m, an amount which includes potential bonuses. On top of that, the Belgian side will be entitled to 20% of the profit from a future transfer.
A four and a half year contract was agreed between Rangers and Raskin on Saturday, and the player ‘took off this morning’ for Glasgow.
The Ibrox club expect to have the deal formalised in 24 hours.
Nicolas Raskin is a 21-year-old midfielder, who has been with Standard Liege since 2017, when he moved from Gent. He’s represented Belgium at every level to U21.
