Earlier on Tuesday, we covered reports from the Turkish media which said Galatasaray are in a chase for Rangers left-back Rıdvan Yılmaz.
Philippe Clement’s side seem to be resisting to those attempts, but it also appears they may have been looking for a potential replacement for him in the market.
That’s because Portuguese newspaper O Jogo today highlights’ Rangers’ chase for David Jurasek.
The outlet writes that the Ibrox club ‘sought information’ about the 23-year-old, who’s been little used by the Eagles recently.
Jurasek was signed by Benfica in a €14m deal last summer, and only has 480 minutes for the club so far.
With him not convincing, the Eagles went after the signing of Alvaro Fernandez, who’s arriving from Manchester United on a loan deal with an option to buy.
O Jogo points out that the Spaniard’s arrival in Lisbon is ‘pushing’ Jurasek from the club, with several clubs interested in the player.
With Rangers already having the necessary information for his potential signing, we now shall see if they’ll make their move, as that may depend on Yılmaz’s exit.
