Aaron Ramsey has been a main figure in the Italian media during the January transfer window, and now Rangers have been dragged into the transfer picture.

The Welshman is being linked with a move to Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side by several Italian sources, as Juventus look to get rid of his high wages.

Ramsey has been linked with multiple clubs in the Premier League over the past month, just as he has been in near enough every window since he left Arsenal to start a new chapter in Turin.

Tuttosport, a Turin newspaper, report he ‘could go on loan’ to Rangers, and that ‘negotiations are in progress’ for the potential move. It would be a loan until the end of the season, and Juventus would cover part of the midfielder’s salary, which seems the only way a move to Glasgow would be possible.

It’s been repeatedly clear that Ramsey isn’t keen to drop his high wage status, and that’s partly why multiple previous moves have failed for the player.

Now it’s down to Rangers and Van Bronckhorst to see if they can get a move over the line.
