Holstein Kiel’s Niklas Niehoff has been impressing during his loan spell at Osnabruck and the youngster’s situation has now attracted the attention of Rangers.

This season the 20-year-old has two goals and seven assists in the German third division. He has shown he’s versatile to not just play on the right wing but also at right-back.

All those qualities are impressing other clubs in Europe and Tuttomercatoweb have reported that Rangers are keeping a close eye on the youngster, who has previously played for the Germany U19s side.

The report states that if Holstein Kiel get relegated to the second division, they will look to keep Niehoff at the club beyond this season and they want to build around the talent.

Despite that, Rangers will still be able to sign the German. That is because the Bundesliga side will consider ‘important offers’ in the summer.

Udinese are an interested club and so are Union Berlin, who have made it clear that they are monitoring Niehoff.

Offers for the wide player can arrive in the next few weeks and it remains to be seen if the Gers also come forward.
