Rangers are close to signing of Hamza Igamane, according to claims from France today.

Foot Mercato writes that Philippe Clement’s side are advancing with their attempt for the FA Rabat striker.

It’s claimed that Rangers are ‘making progress’ in the talks and the negotiations are ‘positive’ at this moment.

There’s no agreement between the clubs yet, though, and it’s said that a UK visa is also pending.

Igamane managed to draw some interest while playing for the Moroccan side this season, with seven goals and six assists in 23 appearances.

Foot Mercato claims the price for the transfer hasn’t been leaked yet, so they’re still in the dark about the request made by FA Rabat.

And despite pointing out that the talks are ‘progressing well’, the contract details are still to be agreed as well.

So despite claiming the talks are advancing, it seems there are multiple factors to be sorted in the coming days. There’s confidence, though, especially because it doesn’t seem like Rangers are facing big competition to sign the 21-year-old.
