It seems Rangers fans have some reasons to be excited about Fabio Silva’s return to Scotland following the international break.
The attacker still isn’t part of Portugal’s first team squad, as he was away with the U-21 team, but that didn’t stop the local media from following him and praising his recent performances.
Following the wins against the Faroe Islands and Croatia, with Silva scoring in both matches, outlet O Jogo now features a story saying he’s returning to Rangers with a ‘high spirit’.
It’s claimed that the 21-year-old is showing an ‘impressive record’ and now has an ‘undisputed status’ in coach Rui Jorge’s squad.
Rangers even get some credit for Silva’s recent form, with O Jogo pointing out that Philippe Clement has been using him on the left wing, and that has been bringing ‘good results’.
Silva moved to Scotland in January, on a loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and is initially expected to stay at Ibrox until the end of the season. So far, he has four goals in 14 appearances there, and should now have some extra confidence after a good couple of games with Portugal.
