On January 27th, Manchester United allowed Amad Diallo to join Rangers on a loan deal until the end of the season. Two days later, Giovanni van Bronckhorst handed him his first start against Ross County.

The winger took minutes to make an instant impact, scoring the opener in his side’s 3-3 draw away from home. The Red Devils owned player has made three more appearances for Rangers since then.

Van Bronckhorst’s side don’t have an option to make the 19-year-old’s stay at Rangers permanent beyond this campaign.

Amad Diallo came close to joining Feyenoord on loan last summer, but the deal collapsed after he suffered an injury while training with Manchester United. Since regaining full fitness, he made only one appearance, before he was sent out on a temporary deal to Rangers.

According to Metropolitan Magazine, the former Atalanta man is unlikely to enjoy minutes at United next season and Sassuolo could be one of the solutions for him in the summer.

Sassuolo are ‘always attentive’ to young talents in Europe and are ‘pressing’ for Diallo’s signing. It’s claimed the Serie A side are ‘very interested’ in the attacker’s profile and ‘could bring’ him back to Italy.

To do that, Sassuolo could throw themselves in the mix for Diallo, once he returns to United from his loan spell at Rangers.
