Rangers‘ Youssef Chermiti has enjoyed a good run since arriving at Ibrox from Everton in September 2025. He featured regularly under Russell Martin and maintained his place since Danny Röhl took charge in October.
The striker’s performances for Rangers convinced Fenerbahçe to make an attempt in the winter market.
Röhl’s side turned down their initial offer in January, and back then, Sport Witness relayed news of Fenerbahçe pushing to take him away from Ibrox. The Yellow Canaries weren’t successful as the 21-year-old is still at Rangers.
The Portugal U21 international has impressed for Rangers this season, scoring 11 goals and contributing three assists from 36 matches.
His Scottish Premiership stats are as follows:
- Appearances: 25
- Starts: 15
- Total minutes: 1,523
- Minutes per game: 61
- Goals: 61
- Assists: 3
- Expected Goals: 10.08
- Expected Assists: 1.34
- Big chances missed: 16
Earlier this month, Sport Witness relayed news of PSV Eindhoven as an option for him.
Concrete interest from PSV in Rangers player
Africa Foot now pick up on that and provide updates on the Eredivisie side’s efforts and Rangers’ stance.
The Dutch club have taken further steps by initiating contact with Youssef Chermiti’s agent over a potential summer transfer.
Although PSV Eindhoven are showing concrete interest, Rangers’ position is now a major hurdle.
Danny Röhl’s side intend to capitalise on the frontman’s rise, and their plan is to collect a ‘substantial transfer fee’. There’s no mention of the Ibrox club’s demand but it’s not within PSV’s reach.
Prior to his move to Rangers, Spanish and English clubs tried to sign him. His displays for the Scottish club have seen him continue to attract interest from clubs across Europe.
The report makes no mention of any other club apart from PSV, meaning he will have several options to leave Ibrox.
Therefore, PSV have to act fast and convince both the player and Rangers, to stand a chance to secure his services. This looks challenging mainly because of the fee needed to please the Ibrox club.
Contract, value and agent info
Transfermarkt now value Youssef Chermiti, who has a contract with Rangers until 2029, at €9m.
Danny Röhl’s side are likely to demand a fee much higher than that to part ways with him in the summer. The Ibrox man is represented by British agency, CAA Stellar.
