Newcastle United are today back to getting linked to Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
The Nerazzurri are obviously completely focused on the Champions League final, with no time to think of transfers, but Gazzetta Dello Sport today features a story on what may happen to some players after the game of the season.
The outlet mentions the ‘rampant’ Newcastle as one of the clubs who’ve shown a ‘timid interest’ in Brozovic lately, as well as Paris Saint Germain.
Regarding the Champions League final situation, it’s claimed the situation ‘could evolve’ after Inter Milan’s match against Manchester City.
The Nerazzurri are set to accept the ‘right offer’ for Brozovic in case that actually arrives, as ‘no one would oppose’ his departure. But it isn’t really said how much Newcastle or other interested clubs would have to put on the table to get that deal done.
Brozovic is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €38m, and protected by Inter Milan with a contract until 2026. The decision for his sale should also get influenced by how their pursuit of their market targets goes.
