Queens Park Rangers are on the verge of signing NAC Breda’s Boy Kemper this summer.
Two months ago, we relayed news of the Championship side setting their sights on the left-back. With his contract expiring in June, QPR then initiated contact to sign him for free.
His contract situation has attracted interest from the Eredivisie and across Europe.
Last week, Sport Witness covered claims from the Dutch press of FC Utrecht’s attempts to acquire his signature.
This saw QPR take quick action and rush for an agreement with the 26-year-old. The two parties were sorting out the last details.
QPR win transfer battle
FC Utrecht are out of the race and Boy Kemper is on his way to join Julien Stéphan’s side.
That’s according to Voetbal International journalist Joost Blaauwhof, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share important updates.
Blaauwhof claims the fullback and the English club have reached a full agreement for a contract until 2029, with an option for another year.
As of now, only his medical tests and official announcement is pending for QPR to confirm the Dutchman’s arrival.
In another post on X, the VI journalist claims Kemper will soon undergo a medical, probably scheduled for this weekend.
QPR are currently without a fit left-back. Rhys Norrington-Davies and Ziyad Larkeche were the two left-backs this season.
The London club signed the former on loan from Sheffield United and he already returned to Bramall Lane. Larkeche has been out of action after suffering a serious injury in August 2025.
Kemper can certainly fight for the starting spot under Stéphan next season.
Contract, stats, value and agent info
The NAC Breda fullback managed six goals and four assists from 2,911 minutes from 31 matches this season.
His value, as per Transfermarkt, is €1m and this is the highest value of the Dutchman’s playing career.
Agency Players United Management, headed by Guido Albers, are managing Boy Kemper.
