Queens Park Rangers’ Rayan Kolli is determined to represent Algeria’s senior team.

Fennec Football cover comments made by the 20-year-old about his dream of playing for Algeria.

The QPR man was born in London but is eligible to represent the Fennecs. He was earlier called up for the Algeria U17 squad for the U17 Afcon in 2021 before the tournament was cancelled.

According to the outlet, the forward’s grandfather dreamed of seeing him represent the national team. He wants to play for Algeria not just from the sporting point of view but also to fulfil his “family’s dream.”

Fennec Football tells their readers Kolli is ‘experiencing a period of great progress’. He’s hopeful to be part of the national team squad for the FIFA Arab Cup that’s taking place in Qatar in December.

The tournament is between December 1st and 18th. The QPR player will have to miss matches for the Championship side to represent Algeria, if he gets a call up. Should that happen, Kolli is ready to make sacrifices.

“I’m ready to do everything to be there. Even if my club isn’t keen on letting me go, I’ll stand my ground. Everyone at QPR knows how proud I am of my heritage,” he said.

The QPR attacker is waiting to make it to Algeria manager Vladimir Petković’s squad.

“It would be the best day of my life if I wore the first-team jersey. It’s a lifelong dream. I work every day for it. I’m ready, I’m just waiting for a sign from coach Petkovic to prove my worth,” Kolli explained.
