Queens Park Rangers are in the picture to sign FC Juárez goalkeeper Sebastián Jurado in the summer.
The Mexican has already ended up on QPR’s agenda, and they could bring him to the Championship.
Jurado has spent his entire playing career in his home country. He initially joined the club on loan from Cruz Azul in January 2024 and Juárez made his stay permanent a year later.
He’s kept 11 clean sheets and conceded 112 goals from 70 matches for Juárez. This season, the stopper has three clean sheets and has conceded 54 goals from 32 matches in all competitions.

Although the 28-year-old’s stats aren’t that impressive, he’s already caught the attention of English clubs.
Back in January, Sport Witness covered claims from Mexico that QPR and West Bromwich Albion are following him.
QPR’s interest backed up
Claro Sports now pick up on that and cover the latest on Julien Stéphan’s side. However, there is no mention of West Bromwich Albion or any other club.
Their title states Sebastián Jurado is a ‘real option’ for QPR in the summer window. Within the report, it’s explained the FC Juárez player is attracting interest from the London club, who are looking for a new goalkeeper.
QPR’s interest isn’t new and they have been following him closely in recent months. The English club could evaluate signing a new goalkeeper who fits both their financial and sporting needs.
Jurado seems to fit their requirements even though the Mexican club’s request isn’t made clear. For now, QPR are keeping a close watch, and the next few weeks are crucial to understand whether it’ll be converted into an offer to secure his services.
To be clear, Claro state: ‘The English club has been closely monitoring the goalkeeper’s performance over the past few months. His development, consistency, and overall ability between the posts have caught the eye of the board, who are currently analysing potential signings for key positions.’
Contract, value and agent info
Sebastián Jurado’s contract with FC Juárez runs until December 2027. His value, as per Transfermarkt, is €1.8m, and the highest was €3.5m in January 2020.
