NAC Breda’s Boy Kemper is on his way to Queens Park Rangers this summer.
On April 16th, Sport Witness covered claims from the Dutch press that QPR had the left-back on their agenda.
With his contract expiring in June, the Championship side and other clubs contacted his camp over a free signing.
Earlier this month, we relayed news of the London club’s interest in UD Almería’s Bruno Langa, but they have now decided to bet on Kemper.
QPR beat Eredivisie competition
The Dutchman joined NAC Breda on a free transfer in 2023 and was a regular. He played 33 matches this season, managing six goals and four assists. His performances and status as a free agent caught the attention of several clubs.
That’s according to Voetbal International, who state Boy Kemper is on his way to Loftus Road.
QPR have been following him for a while, but it took them some time to make firm progress.
FC Utrecht took advantage of this delay and started negotiations with the 26-year-old. He didn’t find an agreement with the Eredivisie side, allowing Julien Stéphan’s side to get back in the mix.
The English club became aware of Utrecht’s attempt and wanted to prevent them from poaching him. The player was on holiday but that didn’t stop him reaching a preliminary agreement with the Rs.
QPR are offering the fullback a three-year deal, with an option for another year. His move to the Championship side is ‘almost finalised’, with the parties sorting out the last details. Once done, he will travel to London to carry out medical tests with Stéphan’s side.

Why left-back was priority for QPR
Rhys Norrington-Davies, on loan from Sheffield United, and Ziyad Larkeche were the two left-backs at QPR this season.
Norrington-Davies played 40 matches, and the Blades have confirmed they’ve retained him for next season. Larkeche suffered a serious injury in August 2025 and has been on the sidelines since then.
Therefore, signing a new left-back was a priority for QPR this summer and Boy Kemper’s impending arrival will fix that problem.
