After some very, and we mean very, dubious claims that Manchester United were interested in Youri Tielemans, it appears the Belgian’s move to Leicester City is going ahead.
At least, that’s what both France Football journalist Nabil Djellit and Yahoo! Sport France are reporting on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
The transfer, which would see Adrien Silva going the other way in a swap deal (the details are yet to filter) is expected to take place before the end of the transfer window, which shuts on Thursday.
First, however, they need to hear back from the midfielder, who has been placed on the market by Monaco after Leonardo Jardim made it clear to his board he wasn’t interested in working with the 21-year-old.
If Tielemans’ response is positive and he doesn’t veto the move, then all should be well.
