Now a starter in Didier Deschamps team for the 2016 Euros and probably one of the best players on the pitch during their opening game against Romania, N’Golo Kanté is one of the hottest properties on the transfer market right now.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who had a terrific season for Leicester City as he helped the minnows lift the Premier League side, has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City since the end of the domestic schedule, but also with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ligue 1 champions are reportedly extremely interested in the diminutive box-to-box midfielder, and see him as the perfect addition to help bolster their midfield ahead of the next season.
According to Laurent Perrin, a journalist for Le Parisien, in a Q&A session with some of the online readers, Paris Saint-Germain have already made the player a contractual offer.
He wrote: “PSG are doing their utmost to convince him. The offer is there and is very interesting financially, but Kanté adores England. He will make a decision after the Euros.”
Considering the player was plying his trade in France’s third tier three seasons ago, things seem to be only getting better for the Leicester City star.
If Kanté’s love for England runs that deep, though, perhaps a Leicester stay could be an option.
They’re in the Champions League next season after all.
Guess we’ll find out after the Euros.
