It seems that Manchester City have just got some big competition for the Brazilian youngster Éder Militão.

Recent reports have claimed that the Premier League champions would like to sign the player on a free transfer, as his contract with São Paulo expires in January.

Problem is that according to Goal Brasil, Paris Saint Germain are now interested in the right-back, and have plans to avoid the competition. The club are said to be ‘in a hurry’ to get him.

To win the race, the French side would be planning to make an offer to São Paulo of between €3m and €4m. By doing that, the Brazilian club don’t end up empty handed, and PSG guarantee the player before he becomes a free agent.

Goal claims that Porto are also interested in the player, and only mentions Man City and Borussia Dortmund interest as ‘reports from the European press’.

We at Sport Witness could confirm that City have not spoken to São Paulo yet, so they’re trusting the personal negotiations to get the player for now. Maybe a bid from PSG could change their mind.
