AS Roma being in the background as a potential option for Beto appears to have pushed Torino to make a better offer for the Everton striker.

That’s at least what Tuttosport suggest today as they provide an update on Torino’s efforts for the Everton man.

They say that while Beto is still determined to leave in this window and return to Italy, Everton are blocking the idea.

Beto is now their only fit striker as it appears Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set for an extended spell on the sidelines, and he will only be allowed to leave after replacements have been signed.

Torino will still try to sign him and will make a last ditch offer, with varying figures on that. Yesterday it was reported Torino are offering €6m immediately and then a further €12m split into two later payments.

Everton still want €20m for him and it remains to be seen if those demands will drop right at the end of the window.

The ‘great danger’ for Torino is that Beto will end up at Roma as they’re still looking for a striker and, of course, the Friedkins own both Roma and Everton.

That danger from Roma has already led their Italian counterparts to up their bid this week but they are still far from what Everton want and at this moment in time, Beto will be remaining at Goodison Park.
