Reportedly at the top of Newcastle United’s shortlist, Benoît Badiashile is also a target for West Ham United.

We’ve covered as much in the past, with an article this weekend from France claiming the Hammers were ‘very interested’ in the player, and that continues to be the case.

That’s according to the same website, in this case Foot Mercato, who mention it in an article about West Ham’s interest in Abdou Diallo.

Confirming information from RMC Sport that the Hammers are indeed keen on the Paris Saint-Germain man, they add that ‘the hottest track’ over at London Stadium remains the one leading to Badiashile.

Those aren’t the only two, of course, with both Chelsea’s Malang Sarr and Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly on the list, but it’s the Monaco man who appears top of it at this moment in time.

Whether West Ham get their man remains to be seen, but it’s fair to say they will give it their best shot in the coming weeks to give David Moyes the new centre-back he so desperately needs.
