Kepa Arrizabalaga sat watching on Saturday as Chelsea mounted a comeback to draw 3-3 against West Brom. The beginning of the match had seen defensive lapses from Frank Lampard’s side, as the Baggies raced ahead to a 3-0 lead.

It’s apparent that Chelsea’s issues in defence don’t all lead back to Kepa. The goalkeeper has had a tough time since his move from Athletic Club Bilbao, and with the Blues signing Edouard Mendy, his time at Stamford Bridge looks to be coming to an end.

Sunday’s edition of AS backs that up, explaining Kepa wants a return to Spanish football. A source, presumably close to the player, is quoted as saying: “His problem is not Chelsea, it’s England.”

The 25-year-old is said to be a good place mentally, despite his difficult situation, but still wants a move back to Spanish football. With the window closing in just over a week, there’s now a race to make that happen.

Whilst AS insist there’ll be interest in Kepa, no specific clubs are named and his agents have a big job on to seal the move.
