At this stage, it’s no secret that Manchester United and Fiorentina are negotiating the transfer of Sofyan Amrabat.

On Thursday morning, newspaper Corriere Dello Sport explained the Red Devils are still to make the ‘right offer’ for the move, as an agreement is a ‘matter of time’.

Now the lack of an official bid from Manchester United may be related to Fiorentina’s requests. And outlet Firenze Viola shares some interesting quotes about that.

They managed to interview market expert Fabio Parisi, who claimed La Viola are interested in selling and should be convinced to speed up the transfer.

“The fact that a player like Amrabat feels out of the project, and that the negotiations with the Reds continue to be late, represents a risk for Fiorentina.

“The Viola club wishes to conclude and to bring this negotiation with Manchester United to fruition by imposing its own conditions. I think that for the good of all this situation will have to be unblocked soon.”

Corriere Dello Sport had mentioned that Amrabat ‘clearly expressed’ to Fiorentina his desire to join Manchester United, so there may indeed be an uncomfortable situation if they don’t get to sell him.

The word in Italy is that Fiorentina want an offer worth around €30m, and the club’s wish to sell may be the reason why Erik ten Hag’s side could be waiting for a potential bargain. It should now be up to the Red Devils to at least try.
