Over the past few days, we covered several claims from Spain about Getafe’s interest in AFC Bournemouth’s Enes Ünal.
Last week, journalist Máximo de la Cruz Ramírez stated the striker is very close to joining the La Liga side on a loan deal.
Getafe president Ángel Torres spoke to the media on Tuesday and Marca have relayed his comments.
The president was asked about the Bournemouth player and responding to that, he said: “Hopefully, he scored a goal yesterday. In football anything is possible, but it is difficult.”
The Turkey international scored the late equaliser against West Ham United on Monday.
Cope have also covered the Spanish club’s interest in bringing the 27-year-old back to the club in the winter market. At the start of this year, Bournemouth took the player initially on loan from Getafe and made his stay permanent in the summer.
An injury forced him to miss the start of this season, and he clocked in 214 minutes from 13 league games for the Cherries. A move away from Andoni Iraola’s side in the winter market could help Ünal enjoy regular minutes.
Getafe already made contact with both Bournemouth and Ünal a month ago. The La Liga side’s economic conditions mean they can only afford a loan deal.
Cope add Ünal would be open to returning to the club and Torres’ comments indicate his side won’t give up chasing him.
