Leicester City are keen on signing CA Talleres’ Ramón Sosa in the summer window.
ABC TV journalist Bruno Pont took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to relay updates shared by his colleague Angel Elián on the Foxes’ efforts to sign the 24-year-old.
He says Leicester have made a £15m offer for the winger and the Argentine club’s president, Andrés Fassi, considers this amount to be ‘low’.
“The offers that have arrived do not satisfy what the player represents,” Fassi said, as quoted by Pont.
The Paraguay international’s contract lasts until December 2026 and it includes a $20m [£15.8m] release clause. In another post on X, Pont claims Talleres are requesting this figure to part ways with the player this summer.
The English club shouldn’t have an issue raising their offer by around £800,000 to secure Sosa’s services and it’s possible for them to return with an improved proposal.
Towards the end of May and start of June, several claims from South America insisted that Wolverhampton Wanderers wanted to sign Sosa. If they are still keen, they may have to act quickly after Leicester tabled a proposal.
Sosa managed seven goals and seven assists from 23 games for Talleres this year.
