According to Albanian website Periskopi, Manchester City goalkeeper Arjianet Muric is close to joining Nottingham Forest in this transfer window.

It’s been well documented the Championship side are interested in signing the 20 year old, and Periskopi, who cover both Albanian and Kosavan footballers, report he’s chosen Nottingham Forest.

The East Midlands club are rebuilding under their new manager and Periskopi say the Kosovan goalkeeper has been receiving interest from other European clubs, but he’s decided to remain in England.

The youngster played all the Carabao Cup games for Manchester City last season, except the final, and now he’s set to test himself in the English second tier with Nottingham Forest.

Despite getting games for the Premier League champions last season, the return of Claudio Bravo is likely to mean he will fall down the pecking order.

Previous reports suggested the player will head to the City Ground on a season-long loan deal.

Muric joined the ranks of Manchester City from Zurich in 2015 and is under contract at the Etihad until June 2021.
