Bologna star Riccardo Orsolini has urged his side to be bold when they take on Aston Villa next week.
Tuttomercatoweb cover comments from the forward today as he and his side set their sights on a Europa League clash with Aston Villa next week.
Unai Emery’s side host the Italian side on Thursday as they kick off their Europa League campaign at home.
It will be just the second time that the two sides have faced each other in their history, with the last one coming only a year ago in October.
That time they were meeting in the Champions League, league phase, with Aston Villa running out as 2-0 winners thanks to goals from John McGinn and Jhon Durán in the 55th minute and 64th minute.
It means that they are well accustomed to each other, although there has been plenty of change for both sides within the space of a year.
Bologna will head to England with confidence after a strong start to the season that’s seen them pick up six points from four games in Serie A so far and beat Genoa 2-1 on Saturday thanks to a 99th minute penalty from Orsolini.
He was asked about the Aston Villa game after that and urged his side to head to Villa Park and be bold.
“We definitely know what we’re up against now,” he said.
“We’re facing a team that’s practically in the Champions League; we’ve faced them there before. We’ll go there focused and prepare well for the match. We need to be a bit bold and go there with nothing to lose.”
