After a solid first year in Scotland, Steven Gerrard has worked hard adding to his Rangers squad this summer.
No fewer than ten new players arrived at Ibrox as the former Liverpool man sought to reshape his squad for another title challenge with Celtic.
Of those ten players, only one, Steven Davis, spent the previous campaign on loan at the club. One man who was sent back was midfielder Lassana Coulibaly.
The 23-year-old made 30 appearances in all competitions for Rangers last season and earning himself 19 starts in the process.
Rangers elected not to bring him back, though, although they may now be presented with an opportunity to do so.
L’Equipe report today that Angers are keen to get rid of the midfielder and want to loan him out once again after his spell at Rangers last season.
There’s no mention of any interested clubs, but it’s clear the opportunity for Rangers is there should they remain interested in the player.
It’s debatable whether they would be, though, given they signed Steven Davis and Joe Aribo permanently, as well as loaning Andy King from Leicester City this summer.
