With British website HITC suggesting Wolverhampton Wanderers consider the signing of Porto midfielder Otávio this week, the Portuguese media is already echoing the story.
Newspaper O Jogo brings an article today where they talk a little about the chances of it happening, even though it’s pretty clear they don’t know about any interest from the Premier League side.
The outlet recalls that the English media had reported Wolves’ chase for Otavio back in July, and even though Nuno Espírito Santo signed Vitinha from Porto, he didn’t go for the Brazilian.
Now Otavio may become an easier target next summer, as he could turn into a free agent, but that isn’t guaranteed yet.
O Jogo reports that the negotiations for his renewal at Porto have been going slow, as Otavio wants to be calm before taking a decision.
It’s said his stay at the Portuguese side isn’t ruled out, but it’ll be ‘hard’ to resist offers from abroad, from ‘more competitive leagues’ than the Liga NOS.
So it pretty much sounds like Wolves would have a chance to get him next summer.
