Sporting manager Ruben Amorim ‘left for London’ on Monday afternoon, according to claims from Portugal.

CNN reports that the coach took a private jet to meet West Ham United’s owners.

It’s pointed out it was West Ham who made the jet available, and Amorim was alongside his agent Raul Costa for his trip to England.

The outlet makes it clear that Sporting trained normally on Monday, and they now have two days off before returning to training on Thursday.

West Ham’s interest in Ruben Amorim was today broken by The Athletic, and the Portuguese press didn’t seem to have any information until now.

That all makes it sound like the Hammers’ chase for the coach is completely fresh, as they seem to have him as the number one candidate to replace David Moyes at the club.

Amorim has also been heavily linked to Liverpool in the past couple of months, but that now appears to be a different situation, with the Reds just considering him as one of the many options to replace Jurgen Klopp.
