Portuguese outlet A Bola brought a story on Sunday night saying Leonardo Jardim is one of the candidates to take charge of Southampton.
Following the club’s 3-2 defeat to Fulham, Mark Hughes would be in a ‘delicate position’, and the board would already be looking for a new boss.
A Bola claims that Leonardo Jardim’s name is ‘one of the favourites’ for the job in case Hughes really gets sacked.
Other managers being considered for the position would be Brendan Rodgers from Celtic and Peter Bosz, who’s currently unemployed.
It’s always hard to tell if this is an exclusive or not, as they don’t claim it to be an information of their own, and don’t credit it to other outlets either.
Although Jardim has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Hughes in the English press, the former Monaco coach hardly gets the spotlight in the lists that have been out in the past few days.
