Wolverhampton Wanderers fullback Ruben Vinagre is linked to Liverpool by the Portuguese media today.
Newspaper Record brings a short story in their final pages saying the Reds are ‘thinking’ of signing the Wolves player in the next summer window.
Vinagre would arrive as a replacement for Alberto Moreno, who’s set to leave Anfield at the end of his contract.
Liverpool would like to have the Portuguese player to compete with Andy Robertson, and finally stop adapting James Milner for that position.
Record also writes there’s some competition from Barcelona for the player, as the Catalan side would like to have Vinagre as a back-up option for Jordi Alba.
We do know that Vinagre has been linked to Liverpool by the Spanish, English and the Portuguese press earlier this week. But as Record don’t credit it to anyone else, as they normally do, we thought this is worth being covered.
On Monday, Portuguese newspaper O Jogo said Jurgen Klopp is interested in the player, and held an informal chat with the player after Liverpool played Wolves.
That’s where this all started.
