Fanatik report Besiktas winger Ricardo Quaresma has rejected a chance to sign for Wolverhampton Wanderers because he wants to continue his career in Istanbul.

The Portuguese winger has been heavily linked with a move away from the Turkish club this summer, but Fanatik say he’s rejected a proposal from the Premier League side as he wants to see out his contract with the Black Eagles.

Its reported Wolves offered Quaresma a chance to join them this summer and his agent presented this offer to the Portugal international. However, Fanatik, say the former Porto player immediately rejected the proposal from Wolves.

Quaresma is reportedly content with his life in Istanbul and wants to help Besiktas win the Super Lig title next season.

Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci is also happy with the player’s decision as the 53 year old sees the winger in his plans for the next campaign.

The 35 year old played 34 games for Besiktas last season, scoring 4 goals, and providing 14 assists.
