We finally have some more details on the reported offer Fulham made for Benfica midfielder Florentino Luís.
The Whites’ attempt to sign the 21-year-old was reported on Monday by newspaper Record, who didn’t know how much was put on the table.
Now it’s time for A Bola to come up with more information. They say Fulham’s offer was made at the end of last week, and it took a few days for Benfica to respond to it.
It’s said the Premier League side wanted Florentino Luís on a loan deal, and were willing to pay €1m for it. Then there’d be a buying option worth €18m at the end of the season.
Benfica considered the numbers to be too low, but despite turning down the offer, they’ve shown there’s a margin of negotiation. That’s why it’s ‘likely’ that Fulham will try again in the coming days.
Although the numbers should change, A Bola says the formula would remain the same, which is a loan with an option to buy.
