Now it’s time to get O Jogo’s take on Manuel Ugarte swapping Sporting for Chelsea this summer. On Saturday evening and earlier today we covered Record’s slant on the player agreeing to join the Blues instead of PSG.

They stated the Uruguayan is expected to arrive in London in the coming days to have a medical and sign his contract with the Premier League club.

O Jogo have it slightly differently, explaining Ugarte will sign a five year contract. They also have some strong mentions of Mauricio Pochettino.

According to their report, the Argentine manager has ‘put pressure’ on Chelsea to seal the Ugarte deal as quickly as possible. In addition to that, it’s said he’s also pressured the player.

Chelsea are said to be keen to please Pochettino and have therefore moved forward quickly.

The transfer has been arranged by Jorge Mendes, who has been assisting Ugarte’s direct agent Jorge Chijane, therefore there’ll be a split of the commissions payable.

Mauricio Pochettino will no doubt be pleased to see his new side beat his old club, PSG, to the player.
