Earlier on Monday, we covered a report from Turkey that suggested that Chelsea could soon do some business for Besiktas.
This came around the same time as another claim that the agents of Malang Sarr and Armando Broja were in talks with a big Turkish side, whom we suggested could be Besiktas following the claims of friendship between their new president Hasan Arat and Todd Boehly.
Well, Foot Mercato come forward and seem to confirm this, as they have an article stating that Besiktas are now in talks with the aforementioned Chelsea centre-back.
Yet to feature under Mauricio Pochettino, who had no idea who the player was when asked about him soon after his arrival, the 24-year-old needs to find a new club.
The Argentine manager ‘absolutely does not count on him’, and Sarr is ‘taking with the new directorship’ over at Besiktas about a move, although for now, ‘it’s just talks’.
Under contract with Chelsea until 2025, January could be the ideal time to sort out a loan with a view to buy, leaving him with just one year next summer, allowing the Blues to still make a good amount of money off him should he do well at Besiktas.
