Playing for Tottenham was “unbelievable” with the help made available for players at Hotspur Way “crazy”.
That’s according to former Tottenham midfielder Armando Shashoua, who has hailed the club despite his departure two years ago.
Shashoua started his career in Tottenham’s youth setup before being promoted to the Under 18s in 2017 and then under 23s two years later.
He would never make it to the Spurs first team, though, instead making 41 appearances for the U18s and 18 for the U21s before leaving on a free transfer to Atlético Baleares in August 2020.
He’s since been working his way up the ladder in Spain, joining Ibiza last year before heading out to Córdoba CF on loan at the end of the January transfer window.
Given he started at a Premier League club it’s been something of a fall down for him since returning to Spain, but it seems he holds no grudges, instead praising Tottenham when asked about his time there.
“Playing for Tottenham is unbelievable,” he told COPE.
“The best place to train I’ve ever been to. I’ve known Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester… but Hotspur Way is crazy. They make everything so easy for you.
“That helps you and doesn’t help you, because you can get comfortable. It all depends on how you do it. When I arrived at Baleares the only thing my coach knew about me was that I was Sam’s brother.”
