Nottingham Forest have been chasing Strasbourg’s Nuno Da Costa in the winter market.
France Football were one of the first outlets to report the Championship side’s interest in the striker.
On January 27th, we carried a report from Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace, who explained Sabri Lamouchi’s side and the Ligue 1 club have found an agreement for the Cape Verde international’s transfer.
It was also stated a deal worth €2m plus bonuses was agreed between the two clubs and the player picked up his stuff from Strasbourg’s stadium on Monday.
France Football have echoed claims made by DNA about the financial details of the deal.
Nottingham Forest is owned by Evangelos Marinakis and the Greek millionaire also owns Olympiacos. According to the report, Da Costa travelled to Greece to undergo his medical tests at Olympiacos’ facilities.
It’s claimed the player has already completed the mandatory examinations and the attacker’s move to the English club is expected to be formalised on Wednesday. The frontman will sign a contract with Nottingham Forest until 2023.
