CA Talleres winger Ramón Sosa has begun his goodbyes at the club as he continues to be linked with a move to Newcastle United.
That’s according to TyC Sports, who say all signs point towards Sosa departing for Europe in the coming weeks.
They report that his departure from Talleres is now ‘a matter of weeks’ from being concluded, with Newcastle and other sides reportedly in the mix for him.
Sosa has established himself as the star of the show at the club and is, perhaps, the best player in the Argentinian top flight, and while Boca Juniors have looked into a move, it is likely they will miss out.
His ‘destiny seems to be in Europe’ and there are clubs lining up to potentially sign him, with his agent insisting as much today.
According to TyC the countdown to his departure started some time ago and is now close to coming to an end, despite the club’s best efforts to keep him at the club.
While his fate remains uncertain there aren’t many who can’t imagine him playing in the Premier League and Newcastle are one of the sides to have shown an interest.
They’ve been linked for months, and his agent also represents Miguel Almiron, so there is a connection there to be taken advantage of.
Whether a move actually happens remains to be seen but all indications are that Sosa is on his way to England, and sometime soon.
