Leicester City’s relegation to the Championship means the Foxes’ squad is set to have significant changes in the coming months.
What seems to be certain is the departure of Tetê, who’d been loaned by Shakhtar Donetsk until the end of the season.
Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola today features some updates on his situation, claiming the 23-year-old’s stay at Leicester City is ‘completely ruled out’.
That’s why some clubs from his home country are already getting interested in signing him this summer.
According to Nicola, Grêmio and Flamengo recently got in touch with Tetê’s agents to know about the possibility of a transfer.
The problem is that Saudi club Al Hilal are also interested, having offered him a salary worth US$2m a month, and that’s something Brazilian clubs can’t compete with. He actually asked for even more, demanding US$4m, otherwise he’d rather stay in Europe.
Tetê’s contract with Shakhtar Donetsk expires at the end of the year, and he’s likely to become a free agent by then.
The winger joined Leicester City in the January window, and had one goal in 14 appearances for the Foxes.
